After the Hanging of the Greens on Saturday, November 30, join Bernadette and friends in the parlor for a light lunch while we watch the movie, “I Heard the Bells.” The movie tells the story of the carol’s author – famed American poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:
“The movie portrays an uplifting tale of atonement and restored faith. Longfellow (played by Stephen Atherholt), dubbed ‘America’s Poet,’ lives an idyllic life… until tragedy devastates his world. Henry puts down his writing, silenced by sadness, as his family and nation are torn apart by the Civil War. The sound of Christmas morning reawakens the poet’s lost voice as he discovers the booming promise of reignited faith.”

If you’d like to join us for lunch, let Bernadette know what sort of cold cuts you prefer.
If you can’t make it on the 30th but would like to see the movie, let Bernadette know. She’d be happy to arrange for an additional showing or two, perhaps on a Sunday after church.
