Worship Services and Coffee Hour

Summer Services – Late June through Early September

During the summer, weather-permitting*, we worship together outside, under the tent in front of our beautiful church, to be closer to God’s beautiful creation. We invite you and all who pass by to join us at 10:00 on Sunday morning.

  • We have seating available at our picnic tables and on our folding chairs, but you’re welcome to bring your own (more comfortable) folding chairs.
  • To reduce the likelihood of bulletins blowing about the neighborhood, there will be a limited number of printed bulletins during the summer. All congregational responses and hymns will either be in the hymnals provided, or thoroughly explained. You’re also welcome to follow along on your smart phone using the digital bulletin you will find posted on the home page of our website each week.
  • Childcare will not be provided during summer worship services. If your young people need something extra to keep themselves occupied during worship, feel free to bring books, coloring books, or crafts – our picnic tables offer plenty of space for all sorts of quiet activities. And if your youngsters need to move about during the service, we recommend taking a walk with them about the property or over to our garden to see what’s in bloom.

After the service, please join us for Coffee Hour inside in Gifford Hall. Coffee hour provides us all the opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones! All are welcome.

*If we’re experiencing light rain or drizzle—wear a raincoat. But if the forecast turns to heavy downpours, high winds, thunderstorms, or poor air quality, we’ll go inside.

Summer Coffee Hour

Coffee hour is a time for sharing refreshments and fellowship, a time to catch up with old friends and make a few new ones. Please join us immediately after the worship service in Gifford Hall.

How you can help

After the service, join us inside Gifford Hall for refreshments and fellowship. All are welcome. During the year, we rotate coffee hour responsibilities weekly  (see the calendar here). But during the summer, coffee hour is provided by volunteers. Each week, one family or person should bring a cartoHEREn of half and half, and the rest of the families should bring something to nibble on for adults and/or the children.  Volunteers are also responsible for set-up and clean-up.

Sign up HERE to help serve coffee hour on a summer Sunday of your choice.

If you haven’t helped at coffee hour before, please jump in. The team of folks who are there each week would be happy to show you how you can help.

The church provides a supply of coffee, tea, sugar, and napkins. When you see that the kitchen is low on one of these items, please let us know in the church office.
